Luxury Gym Equipment: Leather Kettlebells, Medicine Balls, Jump Ropes & Weight Belts
Premium fitness equipment for boutique gyms, hotels, residences and brand capsules — how to design a cohesive leather-wrapped training collection.

The rise of the luxury home gym
The home gym has changed. What was once a corner of the garage with a bench and a barbell is now a designed space — and the equipment in it is expected to look as good as it performs. That shift has created a new category: luxury gym equipment made from genuine leather, timber and brass, built to sit in a living room, hotel suite or private members' club without apology. At MVP Bespoke we handcraft leather kettlebells, medicine balls, jump ropes and weight belts for brands, gyms, hotels and private clients. Here is what goes into each piece, and how to commission your own.

Leather kettlebells: the centrepiece
A leather-clad kettlebell is the single most photographed piece of luxury gym equipment — and the hardest to get right.
- **The core** — a precision-cast steel or iron bell, weighted accurately from 4kg to 32kg.
- **The leather shell** — full-grain panels cut, skived and hand-stitched around the core so the seams disappear.
- **The handle** — wrapped and stitched for grip, or left as polished steel for a cleaner look.
- **Branding** — debossed crests, foil stamping or embroidered weight markings.
The result is a kettlebell that performs exactly like a competition bell but belongs in a designed interior.
Leather medicine balls: old-school craft, new-school appeal
The leather medicine ball is the original piece of gym equipment — and the one that benefits most from traditional craft. Ours are built the way they were a century ago:
- Hand-cut leather panels stitched with heavy waxed thread
- A balanced fill that keeps the ball round and true through years of use
- Weight options from 1kg to 10kg, marked with embossed numerals
- Custom colourways and brand marks across the panels
They work as functional training tools, retail products and styling props — which is why fashion brands commission them as often as gyms do.

Luxury jump ropes: timber, leather and brass
A jump rope is a small object, which means every detail shows. Our luxury jump ropes pair turned timber handles with leather-wrapped grips, brass fittings and a weighted leather or coated cable. Branding goes on the handle — laser-engraved, debossed or printed — and the whole piece can be colour-matched to a brand palette. They are a favourite for corporate gifting and retail because they pack small, ship easily and photograph beautifully.
Leather weight belts: built to be used
Unlike most pieces in this category, a weight belt has to perform under real load. Ours are cut from thick vegetable-tanned leather, with double-prong or lever buckles in brass or matte black, reinforced stitching and padded suede linings. Custom options include embossed names, gym logos, contrast stitching and numbered limited editions. Powerlifting clubs, boutique gyms and strength brands commission them as both equipment and merchandise.
Who commissions luxury gym equipment?
- **Hotels and resorts** — outfitting suites and wellness spaces with equipment that matches the interior design
- **Fashion and lifestyle brands** — retail collections and campaign props
- **Boutique gyms and studios** — signature equipment members cannot buy anywhere else
- **Corporate gifting** — executive gifts that outlast a hamper
- **Private clients** — home gyms designed like any other room in the house

Commissioning a set: how it works
Every project starts with a brief — the pieces you want, the leathers and colours, the branding, and the quantity. We design and mock up each piece, produce physical samples for approval, then move into production. Runs start from small batches, with a minimum total project value of USD $2,500 plus shipping. Everything is made to order, so no two sets need ever be the same.
