Retro Leather American Football

Commissioned by Island, this project reimagines the vintage American football as an object of enduring luxury. The brief called for a genuine, extra-thick leather construction, reminiscent of a bygone era, yet executed with contemporary finesse.

Our artisans selected a full-grain, exceptionally durable leather, chosen for its rich hand-feel and propensity to develop a unique patina over time. Each panel is meticulously cut and stitched, with a traditional leather lace hand-threaded to secure the form. Island's debossed logo is subtly integrated, a mark of discreet branding.

The resulting football is a testament to bespoke craftsmanship, marrying robust utility with an elevated aesthetic. It serves not merely as a sporting artifact, but as a distinguished piece, reflecting both heritage and refined taste.
